Internship Overview
At Sisters in Public Health, our internship program is designed to give students and emerging professionals real-world experience while supporting the growth of a national nonprofit organization. Interns have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, strengthen their skills, and work alongside passionate leaders committed to advancing public health.
Whether you are interested in communications, operations, partnerships, events, membership, marketing, executive administration, or community engagement, there is space to grow, learn, and make an impact.

Internship Areas
Quality Improvement
This area focuses on evaluating and enhancing internal processes, programs, and member experiences. Interns may help review workflows, assess program outcomes, gather feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Executive Administration
This area supports organizational leadership in strategic planning, governance, and coordination across departments. Interns may assist with internal planning documents, leadership support, board coordination, and cross‑team projects.
Marketing & Membership
This area drives visibility for SiPH, cultivates community engagement, and manages communications with members and the public. Interns may support social media, newsletters, promotional campaigns, membership engagement, and storytelling about SiPH programs and impact.
Development & Fundraising
This area focuses on securing financial support to sustain SiPH’s programs. It leads fundraising campaigns, seeks donations, explores sponsorship opportunities, and helps plan fundraising events.
Finance & Operations
Finance & Operations ensures the organization’s financial health, budget tracking, fund allocation, and operational logistics. Interns may assist with administrative systems, internal tracking, documentation, and supporting the operational infrastructure of the nonprofit.
Scholarship Program
Interns in this area support the scholarship initiatives of Sisters in Public Health. This may include helping coordinate scholarship promotion, supporting application review preparation, assisting with communications with applicants, and contributing to initiatives that help expand scholarship opportunities for public health students.
